About Rick

In this business since before most homes had Wi-Fi.

Rick Cassani started Advanced AV & Automation in 2001 — when Roadrunner was just making home networking possible and builders were first wiring homes for speakers as a standard feature. He's had a front-row seat to every shift in the industry since.

As a former IT professional with over two decades of hands-on home technology experience, Rick sits at the perfect intersection of networking, AV, and automation. He thrives on the complexity of large custom builds — where everything has to be planned from the blueprint up, and a single wiring decision affects the entire system.

That said, he's equally at home designing a simple media room or a modest automation package. This is his passion, and it shows in every project.
